Lane Closures: Busy Bridge Over I-95 In New Rochelle To Be Affected
Traffic on a stretch of Interstate 95 that is currently in a major three-year construction project will soon be slowed by a series of lane closures in Westchester. The North Avenue bridge running over I-95 in New Rochelle will be reduced to only one lane on both Friday, July 14, and Monday, July 17, according to the New York Thruway Authority. New Bridge Construction To Close West Nyack Roadway For Months
Rockland County drivers will need to find detours when construction begins on a new bridge in Rockland County. Snake Hill Road in West Nyack will be closed between Old Mill Road and Crusher Road beginning Tuesday, April 18 lasting into September, said the Clarkstown Police. The closure is due to a new bridge being constructed over the railroad tracks. Detour signs will be posted on Old Mill Road and Kings Highway. Drivers should be prepared to use alternate routes of travel during this time.

Construction on the New Jersey-bound side of the Delaware Memorial Bridge has temporarily closed two northbound lanes of traffic, authorities said. A woman was allegedly intoxicated in Western Massachusetts when she blew past a “road closed” barricade and nearly made a splash landing off a bridge under construction, police said. The $3.2 million dollar replacement of the Salt Point Turnpike Bridge in the Town of Pleasant Valley has been completed.
