A Norfolk County woman who was involved in a head-on collision with an ambulance last month was intoxicated and had a child in the car, authorities said. Two firefighters were injured in Prince George's County on Thursday night when a tractor-trailer crashed into an ambulance and several other vehicles. An ambulance that was stopped on the Inner Loop of the Beltway and MD-210 at approximately 9:10 p.m. on Thursday, June 15 in Oxon Hill when it was struck by the truck driver, according to officials. Police responded to reports of a car crash around 10:37 a.m. on Friday, March 31 in the area of 721 Main Street in Wakefield to find that an Audi SUV had crashed into an ambulance from Cataldo Ambulance Services, according to the Wakefield Police Department. Several people were hospitalized after a crash involving an ambulance and car on Long Island. It happened around 12:15 a.m. Saturday, March 25 in Bellmore. A Bellmore-Merrick Fire Department ambulance was traveling northbound on Newbridge Road and was struck by a 2019 Subaru traveling westbound on Camp Avenue, Nassau County Police said. Forest rangers carried an injured hiker a mile to safety after the hiker suffered an ankle injury in the Catskill Mountains. The hours-long rescue operation began at around 3:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 in Greene County, according to the state Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). Two people were injured after a loaded ambulance was hit by a vehicle in Prince George's County, officials say. The collision happened at St. Barnabas Road and Branch Avenue around 8:16 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 17, according to the Prince George's County Fire Department. A child riding a bike was injured after crashing into an ambulance in Montgomery County on Friday, March 18, authorities confirmed.
