Hit-Run Crash: Man Seriously Injured In Danbury A man was seriously injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Fairfield County. The incident occurred in Danbury around 8:15 p.m., Wednesday, April 3 in the area of 9A Clapboard Ridge Road. When officers arrived, they found the man in the roadway with serious injuries, said Erin Henry, spokesperson for the Danbury Police Department. The victim has not yet been identified by police. Williamstown Driver, 38, Killed After Hitting Landscaping Stone, Tree In Franklin Twp Crash A 38-year-old Williamstown man died in a Franklin Township crash late Saturday, March 2, local police said. Robert Lafferty III's Kia Optima veered off the 3500 block of West Malaga Road into the oncoming lane of traffic before hitting a landscaping stone, several mailboxes and a tree before coming to rest, local police said. Lafferty was hospitalized where he was pronounced dead while his 41-year-old male passenger suffered a possible broken wrist, police said. The crash remains under investigation.

John May, 52, of New York City was still alive when a passerby spotted him at the base of the cliff between the northbound lanes of the parkway and the Henry Hudson Drive in Fort Lee shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday, PIP Police Lt. Raymond E. Walter said. Fort Lee Ambulance Corps took May to Hackensack University Medical Center, where he later was pronounced dead, the lieutenant said.
