73-Year-Old Man Killed In Boston Hit-And-Run: DA's Office Authorities are investigating after a 73-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Boston, authorities said. The incident happened at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard around 10:35 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office reports. The man was said to be walking and pushing a wheelchair at the time of the crash, the office reports. His identity has yet to be released.  Investigators have found the a vehicle of interest in the crash but have not made any arrests. The investigation is ongoing.

Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Car In Bethpage A man is recovering in the hospital after being struck by a car on Long Island, authorities said. Emergency crews in Bethpage were called at around 4:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, with reports of a crash involving a pedestrian, Nassau County Police said. Investigators said the 57-year-old man was crossing Hempstead Turnpike near Stewart Avenue when he was struck by a westbound sedan driven by a 73-year-old man. He suffered serious body trauma and was taken by ambulance to the hospital, police said. The driver remained at the scene. Police said the investigation is ongoing.

73-Year-Old Struck, Killed Crossing Farmingdale Street A 73-year-old man has died after being hit by a car while crossing a Long Island street. The crash happened at around 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, on Hempstead Turnpike in Farmingdale. Nassau County Police said the man was crossing the street just east of West Gate when he was struck by a 2014 Ford pickup truck. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said. His name has not yet been released. Target Shooter, 73, Accidentally Wounds Himself At Passaic County Gun Range A 73-year-old man accidentally clipped the tip of his index finger at a Passaic County gun range over the weekend, authorities said. Officers who responded to Gun For Hire at the Woodland Park Range on McBride Avenue around noon Sunday tended to the victim before EMS arrived, Police Chief John Uzzalino said. He was taken to St. Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment. As often happens, scanner listeners mistakenly shared word of the incident as a shooting at McBride and Lackawanna avenues instead of what it was.The chief thanked everyone for their concern.
