Criminal Past Revealed About Pennsylvania Man Accused Of Assaulting Ranger On Appalachian Trail UPDATE: David Edward Browne, 27, of Shippensburg, is in Pennsylvania State Police custody as of 10:46 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 25. According to Trooper Frazer he was taken in without further incident following the fires on the Appalachian Trail and the alleged assault of a ranger. I-83 Bridge Reopens After 'Police Incident': PennDOT (Update) A "police incident' halted all traffic on Interstate 83 in Central Pennsylvania, authorities announced on Thursday night. The police incident on I-83 North happened in the northbound lane of South Bridge around 9:15 p.m. on Aug. 24, according to PennDOT spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler. The area closed was from Exit 41B for Lemoyne to Exit 43 for Capitol/2nd Street. All southbound lanes were briefly closed as well but were reopened before 9 p.m., according to 511PA. Ernest Bowens of Shippensburg was driving a 2012 Nissan Pathfinder south on the 9000 block of Olde Scotland Road in Southampton Township when he crossed over the double yellow line for an unknown reason, state police explained in a release. Teen Bicyclist Struck By Ephrata Driver Released From Hospital: Police A teenage boy has been released from the hospital after being hit by a car in Ephrata, police announced on Thursday, Aug. 24. PA Dad Admits To Killing 2-Month-Old Son: DA A 25-year-old dad has pleaded guilty to killing his infant son, authorities say. Daryl Carletto Brown underwent a mental evaluation in connection with the Oct. 14, 2020 death of his 2-month-old son, but ultimately on Aug. 21 a negotiated plea deal was approved, according to the court documents. Man ID'd After House Fire, Carbon Monoxide: Northampton County Coroner A 42-year-old man has been identified following a house fire, authorities announced late on Wednesday. Al-Malik Hakam Walker of the 900 block of Glendon Ave, Easton was found dead in his home following the fire on Tuesday, Aug. 22, the Northampton County Coroner’s Office detailed in a release.
