An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. Two Brothers Arrested For Hamilton Shooting: Police Two brothers were recently arrested and charged for a shooting that occurred in Hamilton last year, authorities said. Essex County School Bus Company Hired Unqualified Drivers With Drug Problems: AG A 66-year-old East Hanover man was sentence to five years in prison on Friday, Jan. 24 after previously pleading guilty to running a school bus company that failed to perform drug tests and background checks on drivers, authorities said. Ahmed Mahgoub was the owner of F&A Transportation, based in Essex County, New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin said. Galloway Township Resident Possessed Child Porn: Prosecutor A 28-year-old Galloway Township resident pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography on Monday, Jan. 27, authorities said. Evangelin Snow is expected to be sentenced to five years in prison, per the terms of a plea agreement, the Atlantic City Prosecutor's Office said. Newark Man Gets 25 Years For Sexually Assaulting Stepdaughter: Police A 37-year-old Newark man was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Friday, Jan. 24 after being convicted of sexually assaulting his stepdaughter, authorities said. Dover Man Robbed Store: Denville PD A 30-year-old Dover resident was arrested and charged with robbery on Saturday, Jan. 25 in Denville, authorities said. At 1:49 p.m., officers responded to the Union Hill Shopping Center on a report of an armed robbery, Denville police said. The suspect, Raul Green, was found with a large wad of cash, which he had taken from a retail store, police said. Green was ultimately arrested for robbery of the store and attempted robbery of additional stores, police said. No weapons were found on Green's person, police said. Cape May Man Threw Shovel At Police, Made Threats: Wildwood Police A 60-year-old Cape May County man was arrested and charged after he threatened employees and threw a shovel at Wildwood police on Friday, Jan. 24, authorities said.
