3 Manchester Nursing Home Staffers Charged After Elderly Man Pepper Sprayed: Police Three people at a nursing home charged after an 87-year-old man was pepper sprayed, authorities announced on Tuesday, April 15. On Wednesday, March 19, at 8:52 p.m., officers responded to Whiting Gardens, at 3000 Hilltop Rd. for a fight between staff and the man, Manchester police said. Medford Man Guilty Of Murdering Wife: Prosecutor A 43-year-old Medford man told police his wife was sleeping. But it turned out, authorities said, he had murdered her. A jury convicted Babu Natarajan of murder in the first degree on Monday, April 14 in the 2023 death of his wife, Angammal Babu, authorities said. On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, Medford Township police responded to a home on Regent Court and found the body of Babu on the bed in the master bedroom, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia Bradshaw said. Howell Woman Stole $4 Million From Employer: Attorney General A 62-year-old Howell woman pleaded guilty on Monday, April 14 to stealing more $4 million from her employer and failing to pay taxes on the stolen money, authorities said. Jeanette Avellan pleaded guilty to theft of moveable property, failure to pay income taxes and filing a fraudulent tax return, New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin said. Man With Phony License Plates Busted In Wallington: Police A man was arrested in Wallington on Friday, April 11, while driving a car with a stolen license plate and giving police false information, authorities said. At 10:30 a.m., a license plate reader alerted officers to a blue Hyundai Santa Cruz traveling east on Wallington Avenue, displaying a stolen license plate registered out of New York, Wallington police said. One Firefighter Hurt After Blaze At Auto Repair Shop: Newark PD A firefighter was injured following a fire at an auto repair shop in Newark on the morning of Monday, April 14. At 9:22 a.m., Newark firefighters responded to Gibson Foreign Auto Repair on a call of a vehicle on fire inside the business, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda said. The fire was declared under control at 10:52 a.m., Miranda said. One firefighter was transported to a nearby hospital for an ankle injury, Miranda said. Support Swells After Two Sisters Killed In Millville Fire Valery Mariana Cardona Gómez, 13 and her 11-year-old sister Gissel Samanta Cardona Gómez, were killed in a massive fire in Millville that began on the evening of Wednesday, April 9, according to a fundraiser set up to support the family. Pennsauken Man Uploaded Child Porn To Snapchat: Camden County Prosecutor A 20--year-old Pennsauken man was arrested and charged on Tuesday, April 8 after he uploaded child pornography to Snapchat, authorities said. Detectives began investigating Nathaniel Martinez's Snapchat account following a cyber tip from the National Center of Missing & Exploited Children, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said.
