Gunman, 67, Killed 24-Year-Old Victim In Weehawken, Prosecutor Says Police have identified both the victim and suspect in a deadly Weehawken shooting this week. Jhonnier Gamboa Acosta, 24, was believed to have been shot and killed by Juan Perez, 67, on Park Avenue between 37th and 41st streets around 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Acosta was taken to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 8:14 p.m. The Cause and Manner of Death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. Police ID Man, 38, Killed By Car In New Brunswick Authorities have identified the 38-year-old man who was struck and killed by a vehicle overnight in New Brunswick. James Boyer, a city resident was struck by a vehicle driven by a 32-year-old man on Townsend Street around 12:50 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and New Brunswick Chief Vincent Sabo said. Boyer pronounced dead at Robert Wood Hospital. Boil Water Advisory Issued In Parts Of Passaic County Amid Water Main Break American Water has issued a boil water advisory across parts of Passaic County. The advisory was issued Thursday, Aug. 15 at noon to American Water customers across Little Falls and Woodland Park. The advisory was the result of emergency repairs to a water main break on Notchcroft Drive in the Great Notch area of Little Falls.  Any water to used for drinking or cooking should be brought to a rolling boil for one minute.
