Three Caught After Stealing $1.4K From CVS, Yorktown Police Say Three men already in custody in Putnam County were arrested and charged Thursday with grand larceny after Yorktown Police said they stole $1,462.13 worth of merchandise from CVS on Commerce Street in April. Rasheem Smith, a 28-year-old Brooklyn resident, Jose More, a 32-year-old resident of the Bronx, and Keya Wilmont, a 29-year-old and also a resident of the Bronx, were charged with the Class E felony. Former Briarcliff Teacher Charged After Contacting Student Daniel Lavelle, who previously taught social studies at Briarcliff High School was arrested and charged Wednesday night with endangering the welfare of a child, a Class A misdemeanor, according to the Westchester County District Attorney's Office.
