A 22-year-old Bergen County man has been arrested on child sex assault charges, authorities announced. Deandre J. Nunez, of Edgewater, sexually assaulted and endangered a child between the ages of 13 and 16 multiple times from November 2024 and May 2025, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. A 59-year-old Teaneck man has been arrested for burglarizing a convenience store in town, authorities said. Robert Hamway is believed to have broken into Rocklin's Stationary on Cedar Lane and stolen nine cartons of cigarettes valued at $990, and cash from the register, Teaneck Police Chief Andrew McGurr said. Medical Episode Brings Authorities To Local Park
What initially was believed to have been a hit-run accident was a medical episode at a local park. Witnesses originally believed that a bicyclist struck a group of people in Saddle River County Park, however, the incident was later confirmed to be a man having a seizure. Ambulances were called to the area of Saddle River County Park's Saddle Brook duck pond at approximately 1:40 p.m. for the man suffering the medical episode and a woman who was injured when he went down, witnesses tell Daily Voice. 2,000+ Without Power In Hackensack Memorial Day
More than 2,000 people woke up without power Memorial Day in Hackensack. The PSE&G outage map show 2,687 were in the dark with the outage stemming from an area near 1st Street and Carver Park. As of 10 a.m., power was beginning to be restored for some. A restoration time of 2:30 p.m. was posted. A cause of the outage was unclear.

Newark ATV Operator Airlifted In Route 46 Crash: State Police
A Newark man was flown to the hospital after crashing an ATV on Route 46 West in Warren County Sunday, May 25, authorities said. The crash happened around 2:33 p.m. near milepost 1.8 in Knowlton Township, Warren County, according to NJSP Sgt. Charles Marchan. A preliminary investigation revealed that the 28-year-old Newark operator lost control of the ATV and struck a guardrail, Marchan said.
