Two Charged In Gunfight At Nassau County Party That Killed One Two men have been arraigned for their alleged roles in a Long Island gunfight that left one man dead at a Fourth of July party in 2020. An investigation found that Thomas Massenburg, age 20, from Brooklyn, fatally shot Rashawn Cummings at the party in 2020 on West Drive in Massapequa, Acting Nassau County District Attorney Joyce Smith said. Cummings was pronounced dead at the scene. Massenburg was arraigned on charges of second-degree murder, second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, and two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. …

Police Searching For Suspect In Burglary At Long Island Home Investigators are searching for a suspect in a burglary at a Long Island home. At 1:20 a.m. on Sunday, July 25, a 38-year-old woman who lives on Steven Road in Baldwin confronted an unknown male in her living room, according to the Nassau County Police Department. The suspect ran away in an unknown direction and took an undisclosed amount of cash and a debit card, NCPD said. Three Grads Of Same High School, Including Two Brothers, Among Five Victims In Head-On Crash Three graduates of the same New York high school, including two brothers, were among the five people killed in a head-on crash in the Hamptons over the weekend. Police said the crash happened on Saturday, July 24, on Montauk Highway in Suffolk County, near the intersection of Quogue Street East in the Village of Quogue. Body Recovered After Swimmer Goes Missing In Region The body of a 46-year-old man was recovered in the region after police said he struggled to swim in a river and was swept away by the current. At 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, New York State Police in Sullivan County and Fallsburg Police responded to a report of a drowning in the area of a bridge crossing near Old Falls Road in Fallsburg. No Bull: New Long Island Sightings Of 1,500-Pound 'Barney' Reported The 1,500-pound bull that escaped from a Long Island farm last week is still on the loose, and a number of local rescue groups are continuing their effort to find and capture the animal. Most recently there were two sightings of the bull over the weekend in Manorville, according to Frankie Floridia with Strong Island Animal Rescue. New Film Studio To Open In Hudson Valley A new film studio is reportedly going to open in the Hudson Valley. The Albany Times Union reported that the studio will be built in Dutchess County at iPark 84 in East Fishkill, and the official announcement will be made on Saturday, July 31. Police Ask Public For Help Locating Duo Accused Of Stealing $3,500 Worth Of Merchandise Police are asking the public for help locating two men who allegedly stole merchandise from a Long Island store in July. On Saturday, July 10, at 8:30 p.m., the two stole about $3,500 worth of perfume from the Ulta Beauty that is located at 499 Sunrise Highway in Patchogue, Suffolk County Police reported.
