Osama Khoury, 47, Poughkeepsie Resident POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Osama Khoury, of Poughkeepsie, died on Wednesday, Feb. 24. He was 47. Born in Palestine, Khoury received a bachelor of science from Long Island University and was a pharmacist at CVS, in Pleasant Valley. Previously, he worked at Rite Aid pharmacy. He had opened his own pharmacy -- Gibsonia Pharmacy and Health Center -- in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania. Khoury lived in the Hudson Valley for over 20 years. He loved the outdoors, camping and serving the community. He was an active member of Saint James Orthodox Church, in Hyde Park. He is survived by his wife, Rula El Kawaneh …

Dimitri S. Doulos, 65, Hopewell Junction Resident HOPEWELL JUNCTION, N.Y. – Dimitri S. Doulos, a Hopewell Junction resident, died on Tuesday, Feb. 23. He was 65. Born in Greece, Doulos began making furniture as an apprentice when he was 12. As a teenager he spent six years learning furniture and cabinet-making in his godfather's cabinet shop. He maintained his skill and passion for the trade throughout his life. He lived briefly in Switzerland, then Germany, before arriving in New York City in 1975, where he moved into the construction industry. Freeholders Award $300K For Homeless, Disabled Veteran Housing in Emerson EMERSON, N.J. -- The Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders on Wednesday passed a resolution awarding $300,000 to the Emerson Veterans Supportive Housing project. The funds will be used to build 14 units that will house homeless or disabled veterans.
