Keri Mancini, Westwood Native, Yoga Instructor, Dies Unexpectedly, 41
Keri Dolores Mancini, a yoga instructor and Bergen County native, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 14, 2025, according to her obituary on the Becker Funeral Home website. She was 41 years old.
Keri was born in Westwood on January 19, 1984, to the late Kaney and Kelly (Smith) Mancini. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Kyle Mancini.

Colombian National Broke ICE Officer’s Nose, Left Her With Concussion In NJ Assault: Feds
A Colombian national has been indicted for assaulting a U.S. immigration officer during a violent arrest attempt in New Jersey, federal prosecutors said.
Hector Villegas-Alvarez, 27, was identified by ICE deportation officers on Feb. 23, as being in the United States without legal immigration status, according to U.S. Attorney Alina Habba.
When officers attempted to arrest him, Villegas-Alvarez physically resisted and “forcefully elbowed one of the ICE deportation officers in the face,” according to court documents.

Helicopter Pilot In Deadly Hudson River Crash Was Navy SEAL Who Dreamed Of Flying: Reports
Just two weeks before a deadly helicopter crash over the Hudson River, Navy veteran Sean Johnson posted a video of himself flying past the Freedom Tower.
“When it all comes together,” the 36-year-old wrote on Facebook on March 27, alongside the clip showing him piloting a Bell 206.
On Thursday, April 10, that same type of helicopter went down in Hudson County, NJ, killing Johnson and the family of five on board: Siemens exec Agustin Escobar, his wife Merce Camprubi Montal, and their three children.
