Woman Fatally Struck By Vehicle On White Horse Pike: Police A 20-year-old woman was fatally struck by a vehicle in Galloway Township on Monday, June 2, authorities said. At 5:05 a.m., officers responded to the White Horse Pike and Damson Avenue after a 2009 GMC Sierra traveling westbound struck the woman, who was walking inside the westbound lane, Galloway Township police said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Her name is being withheld pending next of kin notification, police said. The driver was uninjured, police said. The crash remains under investigation, police said.

East Orange Man Fatally Shot In Phillipsburg: Prosecutor An East Orange man was fatally shot in Phillipsburg on the morning of Monday, June 2, authorities said. At 4:26 a.m., officers responded to a report of a person attempting to forcibly gain entry into their residence on the 100 block of Summit Avenue, the Warren County Prosecutor's Office said. Phillipsburg police arrived and found Kevin Clervil outside the residence with several gunshot wounds, authorities said. Manalapan Mayor's Wife Charged With Theft In Freehold: Officials Jennifer Nelson, a 52-year-old Manalapan woman and the wife of Mayor Eric Nelson, was recently charged with stealing more than $5,000 in items and cash from a Freehold residence where she worked as a housekeeper, authorities said. Nelson was a housekeeper for eight years at the home where she took cash and jewelry, Freehold Township police said. Newark Man Convicted Of Shooting Man In Back In Orange: Prosecutor A 34-year-old Newark man was convicted on Wednesday, May 28, of murder in the first degree murder in a 2020 shooting death in Orange, authorities said.
