MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- A day removed from the July 4th holiday, a television crew was back to work on the streets of Mamaroneck, according to lohud.com.The pilot for "Civil", a Turner Network Television (TNT) production, was shot at several village locations, including a Carvel ice cream shop on Halstead Avenue and in front of the United Methodist Church on East Boston Post Road, according to lohud.com.

Greenburgh Supervisor Recognizes Elmsford Little League For District Win
GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Elmsford Little League has captured the District 20 championship after defeating the team from Harrison by a score of 9-8, according to Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner.District 20 is composed of traveling all-star teams of 11- and 12-year-olds from Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Eastchester, Kensico, Port Chester, Rye, Rye Brook, Scarsdale, Sherman Park and White Plains in addition to Elmsford and Harrison, according to Feiner, who noted that Elmsford's District win is the first step toward Greenburgh having a team in the Little League World Series.
