At 8:54 a.m., troopers responded to the Turnpike after a Mercedes Benz impacted the back of a Freightliner, causing the Mercedes Benz to veer off the roadway to the right and enter a construction zone on the right shoulder, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.
