Speeding Pennsylvania Driver, 29, Charged Crash That Killed NJ Grandmother
A Pennsylvania man has been charged in connection with a fatal high-speed crash in South Jersey, authorities said. Theresa Karbach, 69, of Cherry Hill, died as a result of injuries from the crash in Lawnside on May 13 at about 9:30 p.m., according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay. Anwar Parham, 29, of North Wales, PA, was charged with death by auto, driving with a suspended license and assault by auto, MacAulay said. A dolphin died during rescue efforts after it was stuck in a Cape May County creek for more than a week, according to marine biologists. In a Facebook post, The Marine Mammal Stranding Center said the bottlenose dolphin died in Cape May Court House on Friday, May 24. The dolphin was first reported in Skeeter Island Creek on Thursday, May 16. Explosion In Sayreville
An explosion in Sayreville injured one person and left some residents without power, police said. The explosion occurred about noon on Friday, May 24 near Main Street and Sayreville Boulevard, police said in a release. Sayreville police said a related fire was under control. Main Street was closed between Sayreville Blvd South and MacArthur Avenue. According to JCP&L, 4,300 customers were without power. There was no ETA on power restoration.

A special education teacher who was charged last year with sexually touching seven children has been charged with touching an additional seven students, authorities said. New Jersey was rattled by a small earthquake on Friday morning, May 24, the USGS reports. It happened at 3:50 a.m. in Tewksbury, approximately 6 kilometers southwest of Gladstone, the USGS says. The Ramapo Fault System, which runs through NY, PA, NJ, MD, and VA, has clearly been a hot spot. Countless quakes and aftershocks have developed along the system since the 4.8-magnitude earthquake on April 5.

Drag Racing Causes Serious Route 1 Crash
Drag racers on Route 1 led to a crash in Edison that seriously injured two people on Thursday, May 23, authorities said. Police were looking for two vehicles that may have contributed to the crash: a white Infiniti G35 and a black Honda Accord, according to police.
