MILLBURY, Mass. — Millbury’s Cailin Bullett had a record setting day, as the Colby-Sawyer College women’s basketball team handed Castleton State College of Vermont its first loss of the season, 60-39, in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action Saturday afternoon.
Bullett set a new Colby-Sawyer record for career assists breaking the previous record total of 486. The record-setting assist came at the 12:47 mark of the second half when she passed to Taylor DeSanty who finished a layup. Bullett held the Millbury High School scoring record at the time of her graduation before it was broken by Julie Frankian.
Bullet, a senior at Colby-Sawyer, chipped in 11 points, seven rebounds and six assists in the victory as the Chargers jumped out to a 9-0 lead 4:12 into the contest.
Colby-Sawyer will step out of NAC play and host Middlebury College on Tuesday at 7:00 pm. Castleton hosts Johnson State College on Thursday at 5:30 pm.
