Millbury High's Cross country season begins

MILLBURY, Mass. -  The Millbury High School Cross Country teams had their first meets on Wednesday. The Millbury boys cross country team lost 15-50 at Tantasqua's 2.85 mi. course.

Sophomore Ryan Mercier was the best Millbury finisher with a time of 19:22 in 10th place. Aaron Anderstrom from Tantasqua was 1st with a time of 15:51.

The Millbury Girls team won 20-35 also at Tantasqua's 2.85 mi. course. Millbury 7th grader in an impressive showing for someone her age,  Angie DiDomenica finished 1st with a time of 20:15. Courtney Holmes of Tantasqua was 2nd with a time of 20:28.

Then Millbury took the next 3 places with Sophomore Maria DiDomenica (21:45), Junior Courtney Diamond (22:21), Junior Corlyn Voorhees (22:36). 6th place was Emily Gustavson of Tantasqua (23:37)  

With another impressive performance 8th grader Paige Rembiszewski was 7th with a time of 23:40.
