MILLBURY, Mass. - The Millbury High football team held a flower fundraiser on Saturday at Town Commo for the upkeep and replacement of equipment in the high school weight room.
With the lack of money in school budget and the extremely high cost of weight room equipment, afundraiser is the only way to improve the facilities and keep the equipment safe. The weight room is utilized by all Millbury’s sport teams, gym classes and high school students.
The team sold hanging baskets, decorative patio planters and railing planters. The support from the town was there as the team was doing brisk business on Saturday morning as residents stopped by to chat or buy flowers.
