MILLBURY, Mass. - The Millbury Woolies got head coach Ray Richards his first win as the head of the town's football program dismantling the Uxbridge Spartans 30-14 on a rainy, humid night at Millbury High School.
This one was never in doubt as the Woolies dominated on both sides of the ball from the outset. Asst. Coach Ray Richards Sr. had constantly reminded the team during practice this week that they needed to show up physically on both sides of the ball and the young Woolies responded.
The Woolies got another huge performance by senior RB Bobby Boire who scored on a touchdown runs of 8 yards and also started off the second half with a 93 yard kickoff return for a touchdown. The defense was spearheaded by junior linebacker Randy Mogren who was making plays all over the field and chipped in with tough running on offense.
