MILLBURY, Mass. - The Bartlett Indians came from behind in the seventh inning to score a walk off 4-3 over the Millbury Woolies on a cool, windy Monday afternoon at Bartlett High.
Luke Bernard couldn't hold the Indians back in the final frame, coming in with a 3-2 lead. After allowing a leadoff double to Justin Caro, Bernard was victimized by two errors, moving Caro to third base then home with the tying run.
After an intentional walk, Indians pitcher Tyler Mandeville drove the walk-off single to win the game with just one out. With the win, the Indians improved to 1-2.
Mandeville was outstanding on the mound for Bartlett, going the distance allowing only three runs on three hits while striking out eleven.
Ron Silvestri's Woolies dropped its second tough game in a row and is now 1-2 on the young season. Bernard cracked a homer for Millbury who committed three errors on the day including the two in the pivotal seventh inning.
