MILLBURY, Mass. - The Grafton Indians Girls Varsity Softball team broke open a close game to beat theat Millbury Woolies 12-1 on Friday afternoon at Windle Field in Millbury.
Leading 2-0 in the fourth inning the Indians bats came alive scoring five times in the frame to put them comfortably ahead, they added five more in the next two innings to cruise to victory.
Grafton (14-0) always a power in the SWCL cruised easily to stay undefeated over the young, rebuilding Millbury (2-10) team.
The Indians pounded out 13 hits, led by Ali Page who had 4 hits, scored 4 runs and drove in two RBIs. Michelle Goulet also had two RBIs and two hits. Kendall Roy went the distance for Grafton scattering just six hits and allowing just one run.
The Indians are off until Monday when they take on Northbridge High School, game time is 3:30 p.m.
Millbury resumes action tomorrow morning when they travel to BVT, game time is 10 a.m.
