Girls Track Team Sweeps Bartlett, Tantasqua

MILLBURY, Mass. - The Millbury girls track team swept Bartlett and Tantasqua on Wednesday afternoon to keep their undefeated season alive at Tantasqua High School.

The Lady Woolies are having another outstanding season under coach Mike Digangi and easily defeated Bartlett 103.5 - 26.5 and Tantasqua 85 -51.

The Woolies were led by Gabby Prominski who won three events, turning in outstanding performances with 4' 10" in high jump, 16.9 100 hurdles,  and 71.1 400 hurdles.  Audrey Schmidt, always a consistent performer won the Long Jump with a distance of 15' 0.5" as well the 100 with a time of 13.2.

Other winners included Payton Bregguer in the shot put with a distance of 27' 3.75", Molly McCausland with 109' 1" in the javelin,  Abby Flaherty 13:08 in the 2 mile,  Allie Dyberg 2:31 in the 800 meters, and Maggie Smith 31' 8" in the triple jump.

The Lady Woolies return to action on Tuesday, May 8, with a meet scheduled against Quaboag, Uxbridge and Auburn at Auburn High School at 3:30 p.m.
