Blackstone River Canoe and Kayak Race is May 19

BLACKSTONE VALLEY, Mass. - The Blackstone River Watershed Association will hold its 36th Annual Canoe and Kayak race on Saturday, May 19, 2012.

This 11 mile event will start at 7 Depot Street in South Grafton. The race will end at River Bend Farm Visitor Center in Uxbridge. Points for the NECKRA and the NE Downriver Championship will be awarded.

After the race there will be live music, food vendors and an award ceremony.

Fin & Feather Sports has offered a 10 percent discount to any racer who rents a canoe or kayak the day of the race.

Registration is between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Race begins at 11 a.m.
