Millbury Savings Bank Awards Five Scholarships

MILLBURY, Mass. — Millbury Savings Bank recently awarded scholarships totaling $4,000 to five Millbury and Sutton high school graduating seniors.

From Millbury, Bryan Dufresne was awarded the $1,000 Community Spirit scholarship, which honors a student who gives back to the community. He will attend the University of Alabama. Lauren Mungovan received the $1,000 scholarship in memory of Marjorie Matson, who was a long-time bank employee. She plans to attend Wentworth Institute of Technology. Nicole Stafinski received the $500 Achievement Award, which recognizes a student’s academic achievement. She will attend Fitchburg State University.

From Sutton, Anthony Hebert was awarded a $1,000 scholarship and plans to attend Bridgewater State University. Kimberly McCullen received a $500 scholarship and will attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Since the mid-1990s, Millbury Savings Bank has contributed more than $1 million to local charitable and civic organizations, youth and senior citizen groups, and other non-profit organizations.
