MILLBURY, Mass. - The Millbury girls softball team won their first game of the season beating the Bartlett Indians 5-1 on Monday afternoon at Bartlett High.

Delaney McWalters drove in two runs and Kristin "Faster than a Speeding" Bullett scored twice for the Lady Woolies who managed only four hits for the game.

Millbury pitcher Emily Bott shrugged off some initial jitters and after allowing a run in the first, worked with batterymate Maria DiDomenica to shut down the Indians the rest of the way. Bott, an 8th grader at Millbury Junior High, won her first game with the varsity, fanning six in going the distance.

The Lady Woolies first win comes at an opportune time as they travel on Thursday to take on the always tough Grafton team at 3:30 p.m.
