Millbury Man Sentenced In Shrewsbury Break-In

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — A Millbury man was sentenced Wednesday in Westborough District Court to six months in the Worcester House of Corrections for stealing tools from a vehicle in Shrewsbury.

Pablo E. Rivera, 43, of 119 Riverlin St., Millbury, was arrested at 2:05 p.m Sept. 19 at 285 Boston Turnpike and charged with felony breaking and entering in the daytime, larceny over $250 and conspiracy.

Rivera also was wanted on warrants charging trespass, larceny, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, resisting arrest, threatening a witness and threatening to commit a crime.

On Wednesday, Rivera was convicted of breaking and entering for a felony. Charges of larceny and conspiracy were dismissed, and Rivera was given 71 days credit on his sentence.

Thomas J. Gerhard, 20, also of 119 Riverlin St., Millbury, who police say was Rivera's accomplice, was arrested in Shrewsbury. He faces similar charges.
