MILLBURY, Mass. — A fast-moving fire inside a garage at 206 W. Main St. in Millbury forced firefighters into the frigid night air Thursday to battle not only the flames but the elements.
Firefighters from Grafton and Sutton were called in to assist the Millbury Fire Department in bringing the blaze under control. The garage, with numerous cars, tools and snow blowers, was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on the scene.
Details as to how the fire started were not known Thursday night, but Millbury Asst. Fire Chief Raymond Hobin said no one was present at the time of the fire at the garage, which is adjacent to some dwellings.
Hobin said no injuries were reported and units were still on the scene late Thursday.
More details will be posted as they become available.
