I'm running for a three year term for the Millbury Board of Health. This would be my first political office. I"m a life long resident of Millbury. I graduated from Millbury HIgh in 1966. I then enlisted in the Marine Corp for three years, serving in Viet Nam from Sept. 1967 to Oct. 1968.

Upon being discharged in 1969 I enrolled in Quinsigamond Community College under the G. I. Bill earning an associates degree in law enforcement. I then did 32 years with the MIllbury Police Dept. retiring in 2002. Since my retirement I have continued to work part time as a Special Police Officer for Millbury working traffic details.

I also drive the elder bus for the Millbury Council on Aging. I have been married for 39 years to Paulette ( Roy ) and we have three sons all in their thirties and two grandchildren.

I have worked as the court officer for the Millbury Board of Health for the past two years and as a result  I have gained an interest in the workings of a health dept.I would like to become a member of the board so I can be more involved in forming policy and procedure. I have the time, since being retired, and I have extensive knowledge of the town and it's people.

I believe I can make things better rather than just sit home and complain about town goverment.

Sincerely,
William C. Wilkinson
