MILLBURY, Mass. - The Millbury High School Prom took place on Saturday evening, and it started out a bit off-balance.
Due to a scheduling conflict with the Asa Waters Mansion, the Millbury High students were originally told they couldn't use the mansion for prom pictures, a tradition that goes back many years.
The Town of Sutton stepped up and stated the Millbury kids could use their town Gazebo for pictures. Many students showed up and then the word quickly was passed that the event at the mansion in Millbury was over and the place was empty. So, as the cellphones buzzed and the mansion rapidly filled up with Millbury High students, parents, grandparents, family and even a few dogs.
The dresses seem to get better every year as well as more colorful and the Millbury High students got their night off to a great start.
