MILLBURY, Mass. — The Millbury Planning Board continued discussion of a proposed Tractor Supply Co. store on Route 146 at Boria Lane until Feb. 11 due to some minor issues over parking and lighting.
Tractor Supply is seeking 13 waivers, most of them minor, said Matt Smith of C.O. Bohler Engineering. The main sticking points: parking spaces specified by the town, lighting issues and snow removal. Under town bylaws, there should be 95 parking spots on the property; the waiver requests only 70 spots, including spots that could hold vehicles with trailors.
Eleven of the parking spots would be taken by employees in the rear of the building, Smith said. However during snow removal, 10 of those spots would be used as a repository for snow cleared from the rest of the property.
Chairman Richard Gosselin told Smith that if there were any more snow that would take up more than the 10 spots, the the snow would have to be removed from the site. The board then voted to make that a condition, which Smith said wasn’t a problem.
The board voted to continue the public hearing to gain input from Fire Chief David Rudge, who was unable to make the meeting due to recent surgery.
