MILLBURY, Mass. - On Tuesday night, the Millbury Public Library hosted a program about the countries of the world. Many of Millbury's residents have called a vast variety of lands home and "Immigration Celebration" put them all together.

There was quite a cross-section front and center at the library and each of the  presenters offered different perspectives on the homes of their ancestors.

The countries represented were Albania, Brazil, Ecuador, England, Haiti, India, Korea, Morocco, Poland, Puerto Rico, and Sweden.

There were fun facts, slide shows, books, artwork, handicrafts and wonderful food from the different lands. A crowd favorite was the dessert from Albania which disappeared quickly.

After the world tour, guests were invited down to the Community Room for refreshments and a chance to compare travel notes.

The event was made possible through a grant from the Millbury Service Learning Youth Board in cooperation with the Millbury School Committee.
