A Full Mother's Day Weekend Events in Millbury

MILLBURY, Mass. - The rain is moving away and there are plenty of fun events this weekend for the entire family.

Friday:
Mother's Day Arts and Crafts - From 2 to 5 p.m. The Millbury Public Library will host a special Mother's Day Arts and Crafts event for kids and adults.

Millbury Girls Varsity Softball - At 3:30 p.m. at Millbury High School, the Lady Woolies, although rebuilding this season take on the always powerful Grafton High team.

Millbury Boys Varsity Baseball - At 3:30 p.m. also at Millbury High School, the Woolies under new coach Ron Silvestri are a young but talented team and taking on Grafton High.

Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser - At 6 p.m. at the Millbury Federated Church, for $8 adults and $5 kids, a spaghetti dinner fundraiser is being held for Rebecca Haynes and Maria Phillipeau who are each trying to raise $2,800 to attend the proposed Millbury High School trip fto France and Spain. Takeout also available.

Mill Church Cafe Presents - At 7 p.m. Laurie Williams-Pipkins, a Christian singer/songwriter who will lift your spirits with original music with a message that will bring hope and joy to all.

Saturday:
Annual Kids Fishing Derby - From 8 to 11 a.m. at the Coes Reservoir in Worcester. The Annual Kids Fishing Derby takes place on Saturday in Worcester. Put on by the Worcester Fish and Game Association and Tatnuck Brook Water Shed at the Mill St. Beach. Worcester Fish and Game will give $25 for the largest tagged trout caught on derby day by a signed in entrant.

Spring Track District Meets- The Girls Spring Track team goes to the District meets at Shrewsbury High and the Boys Spring Track team will travel to the District meets at Lunenburg. Both start times are 9:30 a.m.

Flower Fundraiser- At 10 a.m. the Millbury High Football Team will be selling flowers on the Millbury Town Common to raise funds to upgrade equipment for the High School weight room.

Relay for Life - From 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Westborough High School, Each dollar you raise will help save lives. This is an opportunity to not only honor cancer survivors and remember those lost, but also to raise funds and awareness to help save lives.

Sunday:
Asa Waters Mansion Special Mother's Day Event -  From noon at the Asa Waters Mansion, guests will be personally greeted by Mrs. Asa Waters (circa 1832) as portrayed by noted historical Interpreter Patrica Perry. A gala Mother's Day Dinner supplied by Banks Catering as well as a historical presentation by Ms. Perry about the grandeur of the historic mansion.
