NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. - The Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce will offer Accounting 101 for Non Financial Business Owners on Tuesday, Jan. 24 and Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. at its office, 110 Church St., Whitinsville.
Two two-day, four hour course will help educate small business owners or partners with limited or no accounting background, financial and cash flow management to assist with the success of their business, small or large.
It is not meant to be a class that breaks down all aspects of the inner workings of accounting, but is more of a review to understand how the numbers are compiled and give a comfort level of understanding .
The sessions are consecutive with interactive time put in to assure that each individual can ask questions, give examples, and maximize time.
Classes are limited to 10 to 12 people. The fee is $150 per student and includes both sessions, all material, and question and answer periods before and after each class and the use of QuickBooks.
Instructor is Nancy Burgess who has more than 26 years of accounting and human resource experience. She holds an MBA in accounting.
