Blackstone Valley Fall Family Festival is Saturday

NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. – The third annual Blackstone Valley Fall Family Festival and Craft Fair will be held Saturday, Oct. 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Northbridge High School, 427 Linwood Ave.


Sponsored by the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce Tourism Association, the event will feature more than 50 vendors offering food, crafts, and services. Visit the Children’s Pavilion, Safety Pavilion, Music Pavilion and an expanded Foot Pavilion. Entertainment will include Double Play from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Blackstone Valley Bluegrass from 2 to 4:30 p.m.


New features this year include a cow chip bingo contest, miniature horses, a quilting bee with quilters working on their handmade projects while you watch, 4-H Club members will showcase their animals, fresh samples of Vermont-made cheese from Cabot Creamery and Kids’ identification kids sponsored by Charter Communications.


Miss USA Massachusetts and Miss Teen USA Massachusetts will be there, as will Bobo the Clown and his character balloons and Kizzy the Clown, who will talk around in her rainbow costume and colorful puppets and talk to children about the importance of eating five to nine services of fruits and vegetables every day.


Vendors include Apple Tree Arts, Beelicious Treats LLC, pony rides from Azrael Acres, pumpkin painting by Dog Orphans, primitive and country Halloween and Christmas décor by Dawn Valentine, purses, totes and organization tools by Thirty-One Gifts, kitchen products by Pampered Chef, and beaded jewelry by Rose Bennett, and demonstrations by the Northbridge police and fire departments.


There will be free parking, free admission, and debit machines available.
