MILLBURY, Mass. - A Rejuvenation Project for Windle Field is under way and it is being planned, organized and put together by a Millbury High freshman.
Jessica Sharon is a member of the Blackstone Youth Leadership Academy. Last month, she presented her Community Service Project to the School Committee and received approval. The motto of the Windle Field Rejuvenation Project is to make Windle Field a safer and happier place for the community to get exercise and have fun.
A community meeting will be held on March 15 at 6 p.m. in the Millbury High Auditorium to present the project. Sharon will have tables for volunteer sign up, donations and contractors.
Donation cans have already been placed in public locations in West Millbury, East Millbury and the center of town. On April 7, Sharon will be holding a Windle Field clean-up day as well as a coin drive. The day will start at Windle Field at 7:30 a.m. and end at 2 p.m.
If residents have any questions, they can contact Jessica Sharon at jess.sharon0211@yahoo.com or contact her mentor Jayne Davolio at jdavilio@townofmillbury.net
The Blackstone Valley Youth Leadership Academy is a program of the Blackstone Valley Education Foundation, supported in part by private and corporate donors and local school districts.

At Windle Field would have been nicer, but since she was meeting with her mentor at Town Hall, it makes for a better picture out side there than with a bunch of guys painting inside an office.
Good luck. Hope she fixes that place up.
