MILLBURY, Mass. — Millbury’s homebound seniors will still enjoy a hot Thanksgiving dinner Thursday morning: The Millbury Senior Center and Catholic Charities have teamed to deliver Meals-on-Wheels.

A total of 42 homebound seniors will be receiving a hot meal on Thanksgiving day, Millbury Senior Center Director Judy O’Connor confirmed Monday afternoon. “We have some of our volunteer drivers that will be delivering meals around town, thanks to Catholic Charities,” she said.

“We’ve already given away 10 turkeys to other seniors in the town, so this will help ease the burden on the seniors in town that can’t get out and they’ll still be able to enjoy the holiday,” she added.

The center will also be open Friday, Nov. 23, and will serve hot soup and sandwiches, O’Connor said.

The Senior Center also announced a trip to Foxwoods Resort Casino for Monday, Dec. 3. Buses will depart the center at 7 a.m. and return 4:45 p.m. The cost is $20 per person.
