MILLBURY, Mass. — Liam MacLeod of Millbury was named 2012 Top Male Student of the Year by The Scot’s Charitable Society of Boston.
MacLeod is a 2012 graduate of Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School, where he was a student in the culinary arts program. He was awarded the U.S. Foods Scholarship during the 12th Annual Making the Future Bright Scholarship Awards Gala June 11.
MacLeod is pursuing his bachelor’s degree of culinary arts management at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. He is the son of Donald and Mary-Ellen MacLeod.
Founded in 1657, The Scot’s Charitable Society of Boston is oldest charitable organization in North America. The Society seeks to promote Scottish and Celtic heritage through education.
