NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. – The Whitin Community Center kicks off its February Heart Healthy Awareness month with "Go Red for Women" on Friday, Feb. 1.
All Whitin Community Center employees will be wearing red on Friday and all Silver Sneaker cardio participants in the 11:15 a.m. class wearing red will receive a “Red Dress’’ pin.
The center is also offering free blood pressure screenings in the lobby Feb. 1 and Feb. 12 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., and every child who enters the building will get a heart sticker.
On Thursday, Feb.14, the American Red Cross will be at the center for the annual blood drive in honor of Dave and Debbie Moore. Register on line or at the member services desk.
