Friday, Jan. 25

Exercise Class: 10 to 11 a.m. A low-impact weight training class with light weights. Millbury Senior Center.

John Polce: 7 to 9 p.m. John Polce brings a sweet spirit of praise and thanksgiving to the altar as a solo singer/songwriter and guitarist. Mill Church Café.

Boys Basketball: 7 to 9 p.m. The Millbury High boys basketball team plays an away nonconference game at Tantasqua Regional.

Saturday, Jan. 26

Purgatory Chasm Hike: 1 to 2:30 p.m. The Blackstone River Watershed Association hosts a guided winter hike. The 1.5-mile hike will be a scenic hike of the park. To reserve a spot, email events@thebrwa.org or call 508-278-5200. Purgatory Chasm State Park.

Assumption School Open House: 1 to 3 p.m. All prospective families with students interested in attending for the 2013-14 academic year are welcome. For more information, visit the school's website. 17 Grove St.

Spaghetti Supper: 6 to 8 p.m. The supper includes spaghetti, meatball, salad, bread, beverage and dessert. The cost is $9 per a dult and $5 for children ages 9 and under. This supports the Lords Builders mission trip in February. Millbury Federated Church.

Sunday, Jan. 27

25th Annual Ice Fishing Derby: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. “Take A Kid Fishing” derby sponsored by Engine Company II of the Millbury Fire Department. Lake Singletary.

Pancake breakfast: 6 to 11 a.m. Engine Company II of the Millbury Fire Department hosts the Annual Pancake Breakfast. Engine II firehouse.
