Millbury_John:

I'd recommend public skating in Auburn (2-4 on Saturday I think) over the Worcester Oval.
We tried the Oval last Saturday. Not many skates to rent - we had to wait for skates - not to mention wait in the long line to try to rent skates.
The rink is smaller than Auburn's rink.
The ice cleaning was slow with nowhere to sit.
Also, they closed about 20% of the rink for private lessons - on a Saturday!

Happy skating.
