New Website Aids Search For Irvington Woman

IRVINGTON, N.Y. – Family and friends of a missing Irvington woman have set up a new website to aid in the search, which has been going on for more than two weeks.

Betty Iannarelli, 84, was last seen on a video surveillence camera at 1:55 a.m. On Friday, Aug. 5. The website, helpfindbetty.com, seeks to centralize facts about Betty and promote search efforts. A Facebook group has also been created to aid the search.

The website encourages people to join the search efforts and says people are “brainstorming, comparing notes, pouring over maps, contacting the media, hospitals, shelters; distributing flyers – ANYTHING that may help to find Betty. Every little bit helps!”

The website includes a fact sheet about Betty and a flyer, which search organizers hope people will distribute throughout the area.

Iannarelli is described as 5 feet tall, about 140 pounds. She has black hair and was last seen wearing an aqua-blue housedress and flip-flops. Iannarelli suffers from Alzheimer's disease.

If you have information about Iannarelli's whereabouts, contact the Irvington Police Department at 914-591-8080.
