BEDFORD HILLS, N.Y. -- Carmelina Curra, 86, passed away at her Bedford Hills home on Feb. 6 from complications of Parkinson's Disease. Curra worked in the Department of Corrections in Bedford Hills and was an 80-year resident of the town.
Curra, who was born on Nov. 27, 1925 in Calabria, Italy, was educated at St. Mary's in Katonah. She is survived by her husband John of 57 years, and her children Linda Hanrahan and Tina Curra. Curra had eight grandchildren, and was predeceased by her daughter Rosie.
Calling hours are Wednesday from 3:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m at the Cassidy Flynn Funeral Home. The funeral mass is Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Katonah.
